HIRE TERMS
Our prices vary from hiring pieces individually or choosing from our range of packages.
Each hire slot is for a 48 hr period, in the case of collection and return by yourselves, or your representative. The slot runs from 10am on any given day until 10am 2 days later.
You are free to collect and return the services yourself to avoid delivery costs. However, the damages deposit covers the items hired from the point of handover, whether to you or a third party on your behalf, including the venue itself.
As long as all items are ready for collection within 48 hrs after the delivery period, no extra hire charges will be made.
Additional costs will be incurred if you request a 'waiting period' in order for us to collect hired items on the same day.
We are happy to deliver to most areas of the U.K. and these charges are available on request. These charges are based on a personal delivery service by us and charged at an hourly rate, where the distance exceeds a 20 mile radius of our Notgotapot.com storeroom in York.
All china and ceramic services must be hand-washed to preserve the life of the hand painted elements and gilding.
If however, you have hired a'Chai Service' this will remain our responsibility.
LIABILITY
Loretta London accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury however caused by any item hired. All goods are hired under the hirer’s own responsibility. By hiring from us you agree to accept these terms.
FAKES
Our intention is to keep a continuity of style and form and we therefore reserve the right to substitute missing elements or pieces of a service with a suitable alternative, whether or not these are authentic period pieces.
If you are considering a 1950s (onwards ) style wedding please note that much of the crockery of the period was more usually earthenware or stoneware, as opposed to bone china, as was the fashion of the time.
As is sometimes the case, the glazing on period pieces (not quality bone china) may craze with age and changes in temperature.All attempts are made to avoid supplying such pieces but if you are averse to using older wares, we suggest a more contemporary theme. Services can be sourced on your behalf.
PRICINGS
All pricings are negotiable and are not fixed until agreed by both parties in writing so that there are no hidden costs incurred.We do however have a minimum service fee of £300 per weekday and £500 per weekend day.This applies only to events where our services are required and does not apply to purchases bought online or from our store.
Where additional wedding planning services are required these will involve separate charges to be agreed by both parties at the initial meeting.
